Before You Book is an independent pre-book checklist for supported English-language Airbnb pages. Existing Booking.com functionality is retained. It is not affiliated with either platform, does not guarantee savings or suitability, and never completes a payment or sends a message for you.

Data Controls

Open the extension popup. Reset saved preferences leaves reminders and listing/review data intact. Clear saved data asks for confirmation and removes the extension's data and reminders; it does not change bookings or site login.

If clearing fails, use Retry clearing data. Reload or close supported travel tabs that cannot respond, then retry. Clearing remains incomplete while its durable flag is present, and new writes are blocked. Do not treat a missing popup row as proof of deletion when storage is unavailable. Review the privacy notice for retention and limits.

Missing Facts and Reminders

Missing total, beds or cancellation details mean unknown, not a safe booking. Read the original site and ask the host when necessary.
Browse the listing before checkout; only same-property facts observed within 30 minutes can be reused. Manually open/scroll reviews to make more visible; the extension does not retrieve the entire review history.
After clear, use Check this page or navigate to resume. For an ambiguous SPA transition or an old injected extension, reload the travel page.
Reminders default to 09:00 in the local timezone saved when created, three calendar days before the displayed date. Airbnb's actual deadline wins. A passed default trigger cannot be scheduled as if it were in the future.
Scheduled/issued does not mean seen. Check Chrome and OS notification settings yourself. Failed reminders can be retried; uncertain delivery is not automatically repeated. Booking changes are not tracked. The notification opens Airbnb Trips, not the specific reservation.

Safe Bug Report

Open the extension popup and choose Preview diagnostics on the affected page.
Review the entire JSON. Download only if you choose to retain/share it. Nothing is sent automatically.
Describe the action and expected behavior without including reservation codes, payment details, personal messages or raw reviews. Redact screenshots before sharing them.

The report contains only version, page kind, stable error code, field presence and counts. PAGE_UNAVAILABLE means the page could not provide a report, not that all fields were checked and absent. COLLECTION_PAUSED does not restart capture. Raw URLs, screenshots and account credentials are not needed for a default report.

Host Questions

Ask host prepares an editable message from known listing facts and clearly stated questions. Review it before copying. Use Airbnb's own messaging to contact the host; the extension does not send automatically or obtain private contact details. Ask the host to confirm anything the listing leaves unclear.
